Blueberry Ponzu Sauce

Picture
Serves: N/A
Prep Time: 5 min. Cook Time: 25 min.
Ponzu Sauce is a staple in Asian cuisine.  In trying to think of new ways to do things, I wondered what some blueberry jam and a some time to reduce over low heat would do.  I think you'll love the results.
Ingredients
  • 1/3 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 Lemon - Juiced
  • 4 Tbsp. Blueberry Jam or Preserves
  • 2 Tbsp. Rice Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. Mirin
  • 2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
  • Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes
Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil while whisking.
  2. Reduce heat to low (1-2 on your oven dial) and allow to simmer 20 minutes.
  3. Strain and cool for 5 minutes.
Enjoy!
