Donna’s Delicious Dozen - Gahanna Ohio
Located between Gahanna and New Albany, Donna's Delicious Dozen is a women owned, minority owned piece of sugary heaven. If you're a Duck Donuts loyalist...LOOK AWAY NOW! Donna's blows them out of the water. More options, more combinations, more flavors, and an owner who means business. Named after her grandmother, this owner's favorite is the Strawberry Cheesecake Donut. Between the Cinnamon Roll Crunch, and the Peanut Butter and Jelly, it's definitely a three-way race!

GD Ritzy’s - Columbus Ohio
New lease on life for a blast from the past. I don’t remember GD Ritzy’s from my childhood, but it’s a product of the 80’s. Gone for years it’s back and in the hands of people who love the simplicity of good, high quality food. They aren’t lying when they say they have the “Greatest PB&J” - believe them.
The quality of food will leave you stunned at the price. The service will bring you back again and again. $-$$$$ |
Ginger & Spice - Dayton Ohio
Ginger and Spice is a great find on the campus of the University of Dayton. Don’t be alarmed by the small space, the food here packs HUGE flavor, and it’s easy on the budget too. The Pan Fried Dumplings (seen above) are a must. Wait the 15-20 minutes it takes and you’ll be glad you did. The Ginger and Spice wontons, are a spicy, slightly messy-when you’re hungry-treat. And if you order the General Tso’s make Sure you splurge and add peanuts, you’ll thank me later!

Hangovereasy OTE - Columbus Ohio
Cure a hangover or catch one? Either is on the menu here. At first look you'll wonder how such simple looking classics stand out. I think that's what they want you to feel until you take that first bite. Flavor just explodes onto your tongue. The Chicken Chorizo Skillet is my new number 1! The flavors meld over potatoes (HOE Fries) that feel like they were seasoned by your great grandmother making Saturday morning breakfast In a cast iron skillet. The chicken and waffles they'll tell you are pretty standard, but they are anything but. Tremendous taste and super balanced. The gem though....the “OG Burger”... if you're trying to cure a hangover this is it. Simple burger, cheese, pickle and onions. You'll need a nap to sleep this place off.

Lei’s Asian Bistro
Lei's Asian Bistro is a hand pulled noodle, top five fried rice, Columbus gem. Make sure you try the roast pork (get it Szechuan style) and the Beef Ho Fun. Tucked away in a tiny strip mall, it would be easy to miss, so click the map, hop it the car, enjoy an amazing meal and then come back and let me know what you thought about it!

Pablo's Havanna Cafe - Powell Ohio
Aye dios Mío! Hidden away in Powell is a gem for anyone searching for authentic Cuban food in Columbus. From the "El Cubano" aka the best Cuban sandwich in the city, to the Lechòn and red beans like your Abuela used to make. Pablo's is doing it right...for breakfast on the weekends, lunch or dinner and don't forget to order your cafècito to close out your meal, or as that super kick to get you through the afternoon. If you're in the Dublin/Powell area, this is definitely a "Place I Love" and one you should stop in and check out!

Roadhouse Wings - Hilliard Ohio
Roadhouse is one of those places that when you discover it, you'll find ways to get back to Hilliard Ohio. These are the best wings in the city. And every sauce is made in house by the owner. The unique twist is that Roadhouse uses their buffalo sauce to dial in the heat level of all their other flavors and somehow it just works! Make sure you get a side of waffle fries to go with your wings. And to anyone on Yelp, that disagrees...I say find me a better wing in Columbus and let's talk it out.

Tings Jamaican Jerk Chicken - Chelsea Market - New York
Hands down some of the best jerk I’ve ever had. I’m determined to stop here every time I’m in New York. The fresh pressed fruit juices balance out the heat of the chicken or salmon. And, the oxtails and sides will give you an island vibe in seconds. Even this introvert made friends over a meal at the counter. Don’t let stupid reviews on Yelp about rice...🙄... fool you, Tings is a winner and will be a must stop in Chelsea Market for a long time.

Tostadalicious - Westerville OH (Uptown)
Finding this place might be as difficult as reading the Mayan Calendar, but it’s worth the trip to Uptown Westerville for fresh, authentic, fresh, Mexi-Cali inspired food. Tostadas, burritos, and salads make the menu, but check out Sunday Brunch and keep an eye out for specials. This isn’t fast food, it’s great food made fast.
