Greek Seasoning Blend

Picture
Serves: Makes 1/2 Cup
Prep Time: 5 min. Cook Time: 5 min.
If you're a native of Columbus Ohio, you've probably heard of King's Gyros.  The owner is a local legend, and you can literally taste the pride and passion in his food.  He's also been exceptionally kind to me as I started out this food blog.  And he's fed me more times than I can count.  I wanted to show my thanks by designing a recipe he would be proud of.  So I created a series of recipes based on all the things I learned from him.  As Yanni would say. "It's better with flavor!"
Ingredients
  • 2 Tbsp. Dried Oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. Dried Rosemary
  • 1 Tbsp. Dried Marjoram
  • 1 Tbsp. Dried Basil
  • 1 Tbsp. Dried Thyme
  • 1 Tsp. Sage
  • 1 Tbsp. Cumin
  • 2 Tsp. Cardamom
  • 2 Tsp. Cumin
  • 1 Tbsp. Kosher Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Black Pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. Granulated Garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. Cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp. Nutmeg
Directions
  1. Combine all of the herbs and spices in a food processor or spice grinder and blend until a fine powder.  Can be stored in an air-tight container for up to two months.
Sulli Says: This spice blend is great on lamb, beef, chicken or seafood.
