Honey Cornbread
Serves: 8

Eating good cornbread just takes you places. I stopped buying boxed mix along time ago, and now I just keep the ingredients on hand to make it the way I love it. I think you'll love it too!

Directions
- Preheat Oven to 400°F
- Grease the bottom of your Cast Iron Skillet with butter or a canola oil.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- In the middle of your dry ingredients, add melted butter, milk, egg, and honey.
- Whisk until smooth. (there may be a few small lumps remaining, that's okay.)
- Reuse the same mixing bowl, and combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Pour batter into Cast Iron Skillet, bake for 20-25 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- Serve with butter immediately
Sulli Says: I like the texture contrast you get from both the white and yellow cornmeal. You'll still get that beautiful, bright yellow color that you're used to!
