Better than "OG" Italian Dressing

Picture
Serves: N/A
Prep Time: 5 min. Cook Time: 5 min.
I have it on good authority that a certain restaurant with the initials "O.G." has been finessing us with their salad dressing... It's a combination of another popular Italian dressing, milk cultures and pasteurized EGGS!  That doesn't even cover the unpronounceable chemical compounds in their bottle for purchase product.

Why not make your own with fresh ingredients?  Know what's in the food you eat, and make a great, healthier Italian dressing in the process.
Ingredients
  • 2 Tbsp. Italian Dressing Seasoning
  • 1 Tsp. Dry Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 Tsp. Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp. Sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp. Granulated Garlic
  • 1/4 Cup Grated Parmesan Romano Cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. Plain Greek Yogurt (you can use mayo if you prefer)
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 1 1/4 Cup Distilled White Vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Cup Canola or Vegetable Oil
Directions
  1. Whisk together all ingredients, except the olive and vegetable oil, until combined.
  2. Slowly drizzle oil in while whisking until fully incorporated.
  3. Store in an airtight container for up to one month.
Enjoy!

Sulli Says: I've added the nutrition info below for clarity.  While slightly higher in calories and fat, that fat is coming from clean olive oil.  And by using Greek yogurt, you're getting a much healthier dressing, that doesn't have a mountain of salt.  By comparison, this recipe has 97 mg. of sodium per serving.  That restaurant product... 520 mg. PER SERVING!
